Dr. Skachkov was raised in Whatcom County, where he has spent most of his life. He earned his undergraduate degree from Western Washington University before completing his dental education at the prestigious University of Washington School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following graduation, Dr. Skachkov practiced as an Associate Dentist in a private practice in Lake Stevens. Drawn back to be closer to family, he and his family relocated to Bellingham, where he provided care at a local Community Health Center.

Dr. Skachkov met his wife, Amy, while they were both students at Western Washington University. Together they are raising three children—Mila, Jackson, and Cassie. Outside the office, Dr. Skachkov enjoys mountain biking, exploring the outdoors with his family, and spending the occasional winter day skiing on Mt. Baker.

Dr. Skachkov quickly developed a deep appreciation for the Skagit Valley and its community. He is honored to continue the tradition of exceptional, attentive care that has been provided at Dental Care Burlington for over 60 years! He is passionate about preserving the personalized approach patients have come to expect while continually advancing his clinical skills and investing in modern technology to deliver the highest standard of care in today’s ever evolving dental landscape.
